The field of psychology has undergone huge changes that have created new definitions, revealed new dimensions and have led to the discovery of new theories attempting to explain the thinking prowess of the human mind in different situations. Applied Psychology is the discipline that uses the fundamentals of psychology to foster answers to certain questions pertaining to the changes in the way the human brain works. This is to provide solution to the behavioral or attitudinal problems occurring in different fields or lines of work.

Though a psychologist specializing in Applied Psychology can pursue his or her career in diverse streams, the main areas they tend to choose are; Clinical Psychology, Industrial and/or Organizational Psychology, Educational Psychology and Legal Psychology.
