Do I Need Glasses?
It seems like it would be pretty easy to figure out whether you need to wear glasses or not. However, eyesight can fail so slowly that you can get used to the way that you see things and you don’t notice that you aren’t seeing as well as you once did. Then suddenly you may find yourself squinting, holding the newspaper far away or extremely close to your face, and maybe even driving extra slowly after dark. If you begin to think you just might need glasses, here are some signs that might help you know for sure.
Things far away are getting more and more difficult to see, or you need to squint to bring them into focus.
Your vision is blurred or you have any type of fuzzy or hazy vision.
You suddenly realize you are sitting closer than ever to the television set.
You are having frequent headaches.
Your eyes have been watering.
Your eyes often feel tired and weak soon after reading or working on the computer.
Your eyes take awhile to adjust when moving from a dark room into a well-lighted room.
Any of these symptoms can be a strong ...
... suggestion that it’s time to have you eyes examined. It is advised to have this done about every two years anyway, and if you have these symptoms and have never seen an eye doctor, then you are way over do for that visit. An optometrist is the only person who can tell you if you need to wear glasses to get your vision back to where it should be.
Vanity keeps some people from visiting the eye doctor, assuming glasses will make them look old or take away from their looks. Because of this, there a far too many people out there who need their vision corrected but refuse to do anything about it. There are other options besides glasses, like contact lenses and all the different modern surgical procedures that can correct your vision to perfect.

Children often have a tendency to bend over with their faces very close to their books.
It can also be brought on when children strain their eyes to look at things are read things they have no interesting. Done long enough, this can cause nearsightedness.
2. Farsightedness †People who suffer from this condition, also called presbyopia, can see things in the distance, but object close up are difficult to see.
