A sermon is an oration by a prophet or member of the clergy. Sermons address a Biblical, theological, religious, or moral topic, usually expounding on a type of belief, law or behaviour within both past and present contexts. Elements of preaching include exposition, exhortation and practical application.

In Christianity, a sermon (also known as a homily within some churches) is often delivered in a place of worship, most of which have a pulpit or ambo, an elevated architectural feature. The word "sermon" comes from a Middle English word which was derived from an Old French term, which in turn came from the Latin word sermo; ("discourse"). The word can mean "conversation", which could mean that early sermons were delivered in the form of question and answer, and that only later did it come to mean a monologue. In contrast to this, are the examples from the Bible, where sermons are speeches without interlocution: Moses' sermon in Deuteronomy 1-33; Jesus' Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5-7; Peter's sermon after Pentecost in Acts 2.

Today sermon plays a very important part among the proceedings of the mass for Christians, ...
... some even consider the sermon the most important part of the mass as it is in the sermon that the priest presiding tells us what is the actually meaning of the words written in the bible as a result many consider it the most important part of the Christian mass.

As the world s coming closer day by day Christian sermons are no longer restricted to Christians as even people from other religions come to here the Christian sermon, it may be out of faith or out of curiosity of the Christian religion or curiosity about the life of Christ or for any other reason. Whatever be the reason a lot of people do listen to Christian sermons these days when compared with earlier days of the Christian religion.

But as the time passes we are getting more and more busy in our life, and the time that we have for things like attending mass as been reducing by the day. But many of us though really busy in our life with work and family still want to keep in touch with the spiritual self and this can be now made easily possible by downloading sermons. Yes you read it correct download sermons, sermons are now easily available on the internet we just have to search for it and we will get a lot of them an we can even decide which one want to take so rather than completely separating ourselves form our religious life due to our busy life we can try to adjust them whenever we get time for it.
