Tourism being the largest service industry in India has always opted to provide the safe and sound facilities for its tourists. This interest towards the tourism and the importance of enhancing the field has led to the promotion of 'Incredible India'. Along with this project comes up the recent idea of Health Tourism. In both the areas India is going to outshine. Talking about treating the guests, Indian culture emphasizes on treating their guests as God and treating them as a part of family. This again provides a great reason for the development of tourism in India. Tourism is not just about visiting places, it is 'something more'. This 'something more' deals with enjoying and understanding the tradition and culture, art, architecture and literature and India is the only country where one could find a diversity on each aspects.

Looking forward to the tourist spots, let's first have a look at the northern part of India. The note- worthy geographical parts of the northern parts is the Indo-Gangetic Plains and the Himalayas or the Great Himalayas. The culture diversity has the combinations of three different religious cultures, ...
... the Hindu, the Buddhist and the Muslim. These cultures have marked their predominance by the historically established pilgrim centers, namely the Char Dham, Haridwar and Varanasi (for Hindu pilgrims), the Buddhist Mahabodhi Temple and the Ajmer for Muslims. The northern regain also puts before us some of the world heritage sites like the Valley of Flowers, Khajuraho, Bhimbetka caves, Qutb Minar and the Worlds wonder, Taj Mahal. If you prefer to see the wild life of the area, then there are some National Parks and Tiger reserves. These include the Jim Corbett National Park, Kanha National Park, Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, Dudhwa National Park, Ranthambhore National Park. So, what do you think? Doesn't the outline makes you to make a visit. Well, this was a brief now let's have a look inside.

First, on my list is the Hindu pilgrim centre Char Dham or the Chota Char Dham. It is located in the Uttarakhand. It contains in total four sites, the Yamunotri, the Gangotri, the Kedharnath and the Badrinath. Char Dham can be an actual destination. Char Dham gives me the idea of calling it a 'religious tourism' site. The only advise that I would give is avoid the visit during the rainy seasons (late July) because that could be really dangerous. Next is, Haridwar the Gate way of God. Haridwar is again another holy site. It is again in the state of Uttarakhand and considered as the sevent holiest place of the Hindus. The places of interest in Haridwar are Har-Ki-Puri (sacred Ghat), Chandi Devi Temple (Female Goddess), Mansa Devi Temple ( Goddes of fulfilling desires), Maya Devi Temple, Daksheswara Mahadev Temple, Neel Dhara Pakshi Vihar, Sati Kund, Jairam Ashram and many to list. Thirdly, Varanasi or also know as Benares is situated Uttar Pradesh and the holy place of Hindus, Jains and Buddhist. People regard

Varanasi as the 'holy city of India', 'city of Lights', and 'the city of Learning'. Yes, city of learning, well its with full proof evidence. Varanasi is the home of four universities, like- Benaras Hindu University, Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeet, Central Institute of Tibetan Studies, Sampurnanand Sanskrit University. Next Mahabodhi Temple (Buddhist Temple), the Great Awakening Temple in Bodh Gaya, where Lord Buddha got his Enlightment. The pilgrim for Muslims is the Ajmer in the state of Rajastan.

The Valley of Flowers National Park is an Indian National Park in the West Himalaya. It's the home of many rare and endangered animals and rugged mountain wilderness. The Khajuraho Group of Mountains in Khajuraho ( Madya Pradarsh) has the largest group of medival Hindu and Jain temples. The Bhimbetka rock shelter an archeological site and World Heritage Site in Madhya Pradesh. The place is associated with Bhima, the literal meaning of the word is "sitting place of Bhima". The Qutb Minar is the world tallest brick minaret (72.5 m), in Delhi. It is the most prominent example of Indo- Islamic Archeology. Lastly, the Taj Mahal in Agra built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the loving memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. It's the finest example of Mughal architecture a combination of Indian, Persian and Islamic. It's a masterpiece of world heritage.

Now, I hope that you got a clear idea of the northern part of India. So, I think you got the next destination for your holiday!!!
