Most pre nursery schools in Dwarka accept child as young as two and a half years. But that does not necessarily mean that your child is ready to go to preschool. Your child’s readiness is dependent on how s/he is at the social, physical, emotional, and cognitive level of development. Without knowing whether s/he is ready to understand and adjust in a structured, daily educational program, you would be doing injustice to her/him. There are no quick answers nor is there a skills list that confirms your child’s readiness. What you can do is to spend time with your child to witness her/his development, talking to other parents, your partner, and your child’s doctor. In addition, here are some questions that you can ask yourself to decide:
1. Is your child still dependent on you?
A child ready for preschool will require some basic skills. For instance, they would want to know whether your child is potty-trained or can eat her/his lunch by herself/himself. Observe your child is her/his readiness to be fairly independent and want to do things. This could an important sign that your child can do the same in a new environment. ...

2. Have you spent time away from your child?
How does your child react when you are away from her/him? Does s/he throw tantrums or is it easy for you to leave her/him for a while? It is likely that a child cared by a relative or a babysitter will find it easy to adjust to a preschool. Children who are used to spending considerable periods of time away from their parents can quickly adjust.
But if you haven’t had the opportunity to spend some time apart, this might be a good time to train her/him. A day at your parents’ house or with your sibling’s family could help you see how ready s/he is. Make sure you only stay away for short spurts. And, top 10 play schools in Dwarka usually allow parents to leave their children for a shorter period. Once your child gets this exposure, s/he will be able to adjust for a full day.
3. Does s/he participate easily in group activities?
Most activities in a kids play school in Dwarka would have group activities where children have to play together. In addition, they have to sit still, sing songs, and participate in storytelling sessions. Very young kids may find this difficult and not always readily play with other children.
Begin introducing your child to group activities so that s/he gets used to group work. Or you could also take her/him to local storytelling groups where s/he can get used to other children.
4. Can your child follow a regular schedule?
This is one of the most important questions that you need to consider. Preschools are known to follow a regular schedule including circle time, snack time, play time, lunch, and playground activities. This is usually to ensure that children feel comfortable. But if your child is not yet ready to follow a daily schedule, it might not be the right time to enrol her/him. In addition, you need to find out whether your child has the energy for this routine.
If not, you need to build a small routine every day. For instance, you can give her/him lunch or dinner at a particular time or go to the park in the evening.
5. Why do you want your child to attend preschool?
This question is for you. You need to ask yourself about your goals. Are you feeling pressure from other parents? Are you worried that your child will lag behind? If this is the case, you need to understand that there are other ways to develop essential skills that can help the child enter into kindergarten. Do what is right by your child.
If after asking yourself these questions, you find that your child is ready, then it is time.
