Oracle has been silent till now with respect to the progress of Java but then things are not going to be the same with the new launch of Java platform, Enterprise Edition 8, better called Java EE8.
For cloud and micro service ambiance, there is always a constant upgrading. Java Process Specification for Java EE 8 has been completed on August 21. The official specification in Java EE 8 states that the range of the platform extended with the help of simplification is for storing emerging technologies in the cloud and web. HTML 5 and HTTP/2 support is emphasized by the specification.
Java technology specifications are supported by Java EE 8:
• JSON-B (JavaScript Object Notation Binding) offers a binding layer for transforming Java objects to and from JSON messages.
• The object model is improved with the updates of JSON-P.
• HTTP/2 support in Servlet. Java Servlet offers a programming class to extend server capabilities
• For accommodating cloud and PaaS paradigms, Java EE Security API is used.
• Leveraging Java 8 language constructs for the purpose of validation ...
... with respect to Bean Validation 2.0. It enables constraint expression on object models with the help of annotations.
• For the purpose of building server-side user interfaces, JavaServer Faces 2.3.
• CDI (Contexts and Dependency Injection) 2.0 emphasizes asynchronous events.

The following year after Java EE8 will unveil Java EE9 for the purpose of reframing the platform with the double effort for modern-day cloud and microservice works. For the purpose of configuring the services, Java EE8 is focused with on health checking of managing the services.
For promoting the development of smaller units of services follow-up EE9 release is used and is a reactive programming model for building event-based systems and large-scale environment.
Java SE platform is the basis for Java EE as it offers an API and runtime environment for developing and running big and multi-tiered network applications with reliability and security.
Built on top of Java SE (Standard Edition), Java EE offers an API and runtime environment for building and running large-scale, multitiered network applications, with security and reliability as the prime goal.
With respect to Java EE8 development process, GlassFish 5 has been worked on by Oracle as a reference implementation the open source application server has been served for the Java EE platform. For covering up integration issues GlassFish 5 promotions are used.
