What Is Cryopreservation?
Cryopreservation is a procedure where sperms, eggs, and embryos are frozen at a sub-zero temperature to preserve them for future when the need arises. There are three varieties of Cryopreservation in IVF spectrum:
1) Sperm Cryopreservation
2) Embryo Cryopreservation
3) Eggs Cryopreservation
If sperm is frozen for the approaching treatment of the donor, the storage period is normally 1 year. For the pre-chemotherapy storage, the period is ordinarily of 10 years which may also be improved in targeted circumstances.
