Event management is usually the process of analyzing, planning, marketing, producing and evaluating an event. Managing an event also require certain core values to be deployed for the process in order to justify professional approach and to achieve effective and efficient results. Event management services are crucial for every corporate’s marketing and branding plans. So, developing a solid event plan is critical to ensure your events success and the approach to planning is to develop a detailed management plan, which includes a schedule of what needs to be done and when.

Generally, the event manager is responsible for the overall management of the event. Their role and responsibility includes organizing, resourcing, creative directing, human resource management, negotiating, financial management, public representation, troubleshooting and liaison. 3) Establishing sponsorship & partnership – Sponsorship and partnership is important to decrease event costs. You can partner with corporate sponsors community organizations or local businesses.

4) Prepare a team & set a date – While preparing a team, you should identify the key people you will need to make your event a success which may include speakers, financial planners, sponsors, public relation officers, volunteers and venue manager. Setting a date is equally important. For a new event, you should start your preparation 4 to 6 months before the event.

5) Marketing the event – One of the major steps of planning an event is promotion and publicity. Without marketing the event properly, you won’t get the desired results. So, you have to come up with an exciting theme or campaign so that people are excited enough to attendthe event. Marketing can be done through traditional media, online aggregators, word of mouth and social media channels. You can also partner with other organizations or sponsors to spread the word about your event further. Creating banners, invitation card has become important part of event management.

6) Getting feedback – Taking feedback will help you determine what worked and what did not and help you plan for any future events.
