PDF files are usually read-only; you can't make changes in it. But due to various work criteria PDF file needs to be edited whenever required. For instance, suppose you publish a catalog, which is updated once a year, but you want to keep the date on the pages current. In such situation will you regenerate the PDF file from the source application every time you want to modify the date? Obviously not! Doing this paranoid thing is not at all feasible.
Consider another situation where you need to send marketing material to certain people, and you have a couple of spots on the document where you want to use the client's name. Do you have to make separate PDF files for each client? Answer is big NO. It would be convenient to edit text in a PDF file without any hassle with some tool or so.
Well you can edit and touch up text in PDF Acrobat using the TouchUp Text tool. This tool is hidden in the Advanced Editing toolbar. Therefore it is recommended that you open the toolbar instead of just choosing the tool.
Go to Tools  Advanced Editing  Show Advanced Editing Toolbar. Drag the toolbar to the toolbar ...
... area or to the side of the program window to dock it.
How to use TouchUp tool?
Select the TouchUp Text tool from the Advanced Editing toolbar.
Click within the text you want to edit. A bounding box outlines the text you can select.
Drag the I-beam pointer to select all or part of the line of text, or position the I-beam pointer where you want to start typing.
Type the replacement text or add new text at the position of the I-beam pointer.
Adding new text
TouchUp text tool can also be used to add new text to a document. For that follow the given mentioned steps.
Ctrl-click/Option-click within the document where you want to add the text. The New Text Font dialog box opens with the default options -- Arial text and horizontal writing mode.
Select the font and writing mode (horizontal or vertical), and then click OK.
The default text New Text displays on the page. Select it, and then type the new text.
Click outside the new line of text to finish the process. The text is unselected and the new line of text is complete.
By now it must have been clear that it's not a difficult task to edit text in a PDF file. While dealing with PDF, editing it, sending it, receiving it make PDF file corrupt sometimes. Access to PDF is lost due to corruption in the file. User is supposed to Recover PDF for gaining access to file again. With result oriented PDF recovery software this is possible.
