Synchronization Stops Due To Error ‘the Information Store Could Not Be Opened
MS Outlook users might be familiar with error ‘The information store could not be opened'. This error usually occurs when the synchronization of Offline folder .OST with Exchange Server has not been complete or successful. Also when your offline storage file .ost contains corrupt/damaged information, you are unable to synchronize your folders until you delete the .ost file. This means that all the changes made offline won't be visible after synchronization due to failed synchronization process.
This special feature of MS Exchange Server of working offline is highly elating. When using an Exchange Server account, you can access your Outlook mailbox folders even in offline mode. Perform the following steps/suggestions in order to eradicate this issue.
First of all, configure OST correctly to offline setup. For this, you can click Tools Server Microsoft Exchange Advance and then check if the file is listed. If not, make the appropriate changes to use the file.
If the OST is correctly configured and still you receive the above error, your OST file might be corrupt. To resolve the issue, you need to create a new OST file and/or perform OST to PST recovery for the damaged OST.
