Need more space
Is it a dream to have a loft conversion but the cold-water tank is in the way? A home office or studio in the attic or maybe a space for a teenager to hide away? Cold water tanks are large and bulky and integral to your water boiler system, but there are alternatives so the water tank is not needed. Installing an unvented water heater cylinder removes the need for a cold-water tank as it is fed directly from the mains water supply. Increasingly unvented water heater systems are being installed due to the better performance as two or more taps can be used without a drop in pressure. Unlike other systems unvented cylinder installations must be carried out by qualified professionals however all EasyFlow engineers are qualified and experience with unvented cylinder installations.

What’s installed
We here at Easy Flow ensure to install not just the cylinder but each and every vital component for the water heater to work with peak efficiency. As unvented water heater systems are sealed off from the atmosphere they have multiple safety features to stop the system from overheating and over pressurising. Multiple valves keep the system operating with peak performance. A pressure reducing valve keep the amount of pressure at a constant level. A single check valve keeps the water going in one direction. A Temperature and Pressure Relief valve removes water from the system if the temperature or pressure reaches dangerous levels. The water out of the Temperature and Pressure Relief valve will drain through a tundish and the surrounding pipework is heavily regulated to ensure the water is discharge of safely out of the building. A line strainer filters the water coming into the system. An expansion vessel creates an air gap or bubble top to controls the amount of pressure inside the cylinder. Thermostats incorporated into immersion heaters have electronic cut outs set at 90o so individuals using the system will not be scalded.
