Is Emotional Support Animal Truly Required?

Service dogs are awesome. They are thoroughly trained, live strict but adore lives, and care for their owners unlike anybody can. The dog’s abilities to find seizures, grab fallen items, and even warn owners of impending stroke or heart attack make these dogs basically life savers.

With all the amazing things these animals can do, it's no marvel we have discovered to simply accept them in places we usually wouldn't, just like a restaurant or any office. But there's a growing cynicism towards service and emotional support animal generally and mainly because of misunderstanding, and I'll say that I used to be one of these people.

I was not brought up in a residence with household pets, and I never could understand the "emotional support animal" concept. I possibly could understand a dog that helps with the hearing impaired, but they are apparent requirements a dog may help with. When I'd see articles about an emotional support pig or bunny, I'd roll my eye.

... have special needs. My eyes were exposed. My son's special needs aren't apparent. He appears like a healthy child, and physically he's. But he is suffering from what we make reference to as a low profile health issues. His brain and senses do not hook up properly, creating all types of issues, one being complete meltdowns that are almost uncontrollable unless we will get something to get his attention, usually a enthusiast or strobe light.

My friend, however, has a dog who works as an emotional support dog to her autistic child and I noticed how my kid immediately mounted on her. He calmed around her. I also noticed that dog do a similar thing with anyone who was emotional, including my husband whom tried to cover his ongoing internal fight. This dog was never trained, but was really just chosen at the shelter after making a connection to her family.

I remember thinking that whatever could bring my two men comfort and help would be amazing, even if it was a gecko. I started out considering sites and reading and was surprised to find just how many people experienced like I used to, these weren't necessary, that emotional support family pets are ludicrous or laughable. However they aren't.

Every day, people suffer from invisible illnesses these amazing animals assistance with. They aren't always trained, but are loving companions that may bring relief with their owners' anguish and these people and animals often are treated for with prejudice. It can appear silly a turkey may bring comfort to a man on a plane, but we just have no idea and should avoid thinking we do.
