Now-a-days, it has become essential to live an eco-friendly lifestyle by using products which are not harmful to environment and are easily recyclable or reusable. Paper plates with silver foils wrapped around it can save our picnic days because they can be recycled easily. Now, paper plates are replacing plastic plates as people are getting conscious about several harmful effects of plastic plates. They make our lives easier because we do not have to wash them. Thus, it saves a lot of water. Paper plates are convenient to use and they can be easily disposed but paper plates which are not made from sugarcane, bamboo, or other plant’s starches consumes a lot of water and paper pulping mills use chemicals which can contaminate water. Conventionally prepared paper plates use petroleum wax coating which strengthens the base and thus, it cannot be recycled. We must always look forward towards using those paper plates which are made from renewable resources so that a lot of water is saved and unlike plastic plates, paper plates must not adversely affect our health or environment.
