Indore is the commercial capital of the state of Madhya Pradesh and Mumbai is the capital of Mahrashtra which is located in the west coast of India. Both Indore and Mumbai are among the leading cities of India. Mumbai can be reached from Indore through all modes of transportations like air, rail and road. The distance between the two cities is about 586 km that will take a travel time of about 9 hours approximately if traveling by road. Private taxis and cabs are available from Indore to Mumbai that will take a travel of about8 to 9 hours. These vehicles charge 10,000 to 17,000 rupees round the travel, depending upon the type of vehicle chosen by the traveler. The main bus operators that provide services from Indore to Mumbai are HANS Travels, RTS Royal Star Travels and Citizen Travels. The air-conditioned buses charge from 500 rupees to 1250 rupees per traveler to travel from Indore to Mumbai. These bus operators provide buses that range from non air-conditioned sleeper buses to air-conditioned Volvo buses which depart from Indore at around 5:30 in the evening and which reach Mumbai the next morning at about 8:00 am taking 12 to 14 hours of travel time. Numerous domestic airline companies provide frequent flight services from Indore to Mumbai. The travel time from Indore to Mumbai via air ranges from one and a half to two hours. The air fare is normally between 3500 and 6000 rupees per traveler. There are direct flights as well as connection flights from Indore to reach Mumbai. The main airline companies that provide flight services between Indore and Mumbai are Jet Airways, IndiGo, Air India and Jet Lite. Journey by flight and train from Indore to Mumbai are the recommended modes of transport between the two destinations. Travel via road in car is suited for group travelers and families with kids. Varanasi, also known as Kashi and Banaras is the holy city of the Hindus situated on the banks of the River Ganga in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The oldest city in India, Varanasi has immense importance in the Hindu religion and is visited by a lot of tourists and pilgrims every year. Varanasi is well-connected to the capital city of India, Delhi by all modes of transportations like air, rail and road. The distance between the two cities of Delhi and Varanasi is about 795 km and will take a travel time of about 11 hours if traveling via road. The recommended route to travel from Delhi to Varanasi is through the National Highway 2 and National Highway 25, other than the SH 22, SH 46, SH 5, SH 7 and SH 87. Bus operators like SRS Travels, Vishwakarma Travels Bhilwara and Canara Pinto Travels provide good bus services between the two destinations of Delhi and Varanasi on a regular basis. Five fastest buses from Delhi to Varanasi will take about 14 to 16 hours to reach Varanasi from Delhi. Numerous domestic airline companies provide frequent flight services from Delhi to Varanasi. The travel time from Delhi to Varanasi via air ranges from one to one and half hours. Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka, and Pune, a major industrial city are well-connected by rail, road and air. The distance between Pune and Bangalore is about 1145 km. The travel time on road is about 17 hours. One option is to drive all the way from Pune to Bangalore. The huge distance between the cities does not stop driving aficionados to try their hands at the wheels. It is better not to drive at night as this route is frequented by heavy vehicles. One of the best highways, the NH 48 connects the cities of Pune and Bangalore. Some of the cities one has to pass through on the NH 48 are Khandala, Satara, Kohlapur, Belgaum, Hubli, Chithradurga, Tumkur and finally terminating in Bangalore. Being a main route, petrol pumps and hotels are found on the way. There are several bus operators, both private and government, that provide services from Pune to Bangalore. Though tiring, a lot of travellers prefer the bus journey. Sleeper buses are more convenient as they run overnight from Pune and Bangalore and cost Rs. 2000 onwards per traveller. One can also hire a taxi from Pune to Bangalore. The hired taxis charge from Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000 rupees for a round trip, depending on the vehicle. There are a number of train services daily available that connects Pune to Bangalore. The Chalukya Express (11017) departs from the Pune Junction at 1:10 am and reaches Yeshwantpur Junction at 8:50 pm taking a travel time of about 19 hours and 40 minutes on all days except Wednesdays. The Rajkot Express (16613) departs from the Pune Junction at 10:30 pm and reaches Krishnarajapram station in Bangalore at 4:20 pm taking a travel time of about 18 hours and 40 minutes only on Sundays. The Okha Ahmedabad Ac Express (19406) departs from Pune Junction at 7:30 am and reaches Yeshwantpur Junction station in Bangalore at 6:20 am taking a travel time of about 21 hours and 20 minutes only on Sundays. The Vivek Express (19568) departs from Pune Junction at 10:55 pm and reaches Krishnarajapuram station in Bangalore at 4:20 am taking a travel time of about 17 hours and 25 minutes only on Fridays. The Sampark Kranti Express (12630) departs from the Pune Junction at 11:20 pm and reaches Yeshwantpur Junction at 6:20 am taking a travel time of about 18 hours and 50 minutes on Thursdays and Saturdays. Air travel is also an option to travel from Pune to Bangalore, as both the cities have airports. There are non-stop flights daily operating from Pune to Bangalore by different airlines like Kingfisher, Indigo, GoAir, Jetlite and Spicejet to choose from. Mumbai, formerly Bombay, is the capital city of the state of Maharashtra. Mumbai lies along the coast of Arabian Sea at an elevation of just 14 meters from the sea level. It is the most densely inhabited city of India and the fifth most populous city of the world. Mumbai is said to have been inhabited since the stone ages. It was originally built on a group of seven islands (Bombay Island, Parel, Mazagaon, Mahim, Colaba, Old Woman's Island (Little Colaba), and Worli), which were collectively known as Heptanesia. New Delhi, on the other hand, is one of the most historic cities of the country from time immemorial. Boasting of a rich and ancient cultural past, it is a treasure house of historic sites and monuments and has a lot to offer to the tourists. Much of the modern Indian history is centred on this magnificent city. Being the seat of the Indian Government, New Delhi enjoys a privileged position, unlike many other metropolises. Dehradun Exp (19019), Ltt Hw Ac Sup (12171), Fzr Janata Exp (19023), Swaraj Express (12471), and Paschim Express (12925) are some of the trains to travel from Mumbai to Delhi. Advance booking of tickets is highly recommended, especially if one plans for travel from Mumbai to Delhi during holidays, and while travelling with kids and senior citizens, for comfortable journey.
